Sound of Music at Resort World

When I heard of the show, I readily told the husband about it. If only the show extends until the time of his vacation then we would be watching the show together. Unfortunately, it is only until Dec 11. So I decided that it would only be me and Anevay this time. It took me so long to decide on what date we are going to watch it so when I finally went online to secure tickets, all Saturday 3PM tickets have already been sold out. So even if it's a school day and it would be late, I booked a Nov 23, 8PM VIP tickets for two for the Sound of Music. It's my first time to go to Resort World but because I know the little girl would love it, I really don't care much. As long as she enjoys it, I would definitely go. We arrived a little bit early. I think, 45 minutes early. That gave the little girl time to look around. She was so excited to see some scenes on the big LCD outside the theater. She even inspect every tabletop displays. Inside the theater she was beaming and excited. Once the show starts she cannot help but talk and sing. Sometimes I even have to put a hand on her mouth because she is talking so loud. haha. It was definitely a nice experience for both of us. The show was so superb! I love how they mixed both the traditional and modern technology for their scenes. I also love DEBRALIZ as Frau Schmidt.

Passport Renewal

It was in the last week of October when the husband noticed about the expiration date of our passport. He was in the process of preparing the documents needed for our visa and lo and behold it was only that time that we took account of the date. Since we cannot travel with almost expired passport, I called the Telephone Passport Express Service(5671111) last November 4. I was searching the web to know the time it would take me to have a DFA appointment and somehow I lose my hope that I can get the passports in time for our visa processing. Since I don't have much choice and I really hate doing the government processes alone, I gambled on the LBC service. When I called the hotline they told me that the soonest appointment I can get would be 3rd or 4th week of November. It was not the date I wanted but still I cannot see any way to speed up. I gave the important details on the phone and then have my docs photocopied and send them to an LBC outlet nearby. I paid Php 1800 each for our passport. After a few days, I received a text message saying our appointment will be on the 11th of November. I am happy because it's earlier that expected. So we went to DFA and do the necessary processing. We have a different line as compared to those who are applying/renewing their passport individually. So, I think ours is faster. After the processing, we were told to expect the passport after 10 working days. And I was surprised when I received a text message last Wednesday ( Nov 23 ) that are passport are for pick up already ( I opted to pick them up from LBC). That's earlier that their committed date! I am really happy!

Dreams

I woke up today with a smile on my face. Somehow this is the result of my dream. In that dream I was reunited with a childhood friend. And we tease each other as if were are still in high school. After feeling happy about the dream, I somehow drifted into a gloomy mood. Thinking about him brought some sad memories because thinking about him makes me think of his untimely death and the family he has left behind. Also, I cannot help but wish that people would not be in denial and should bring those who need help to addiction treatment centers. If only. Well, that was my thought. And until now the dream has affected me and that's the reason why I am not in my most cheerful mood.

BLANK!

I have been avoiding my blog for the past couple of weeks. Yeah, as much as possible I rarely go online via my desktop or netbook. Of course, I am online most of the time through my IPHONE or IPAD. Seems like my zest for blogging has taken it's final vow. Now, I am wondering what should I do. I am really clueless as to what I should be doing online. I feel that somehow no matter what I do I can put words on the blank spaces. For now, I will just go with the flow.

Ikea Stuff

When the house of my sister is in the planning stage, I requested the husband to give us a IKEA catalog. From there, my sister pick the stuff that she likes and the husband bought them for her. And I am so happy when we went to there house, the IKEA goods that the husband bought are already installed in their house. From the cloth cabinet to the toy rack of my niece to the knife holder in their kitchen plus the toilet rack in their bathroom. Unfortunately, they still don't have a heated mattress pads. I don't know if they are going to buy one but what I know is that when we go to Kuwait this December, my sister will be asking me to shop for her again. Well, I am looking forward to that. Hopefully we can have our passport soon.

Stressed Out!

Last Friday, the husband was already compiling the needed documents for our visa when he noticed that our passport will expire March 2012. Oh yes! We were hoping that the embassy would grant us the travel documents but unfortunately yesterday our visa application was declined. They told the husband that the passport should be six months before the expire date. So, that really stress me out. I was already telling the husband to scrap the plan but of course, that was just me being difficult. After talking to the husband I called up the LBC passport renewal service. According to them it will take six to seven days for the DFA appointment and after that we need to wait for ten days to get our passport. I am really praying that LBC would live up to their committed days or else I am toast! hahahaha.

First Time

Anevay had fun on her vacation in my sister's house in Pampanga. For a change, I decided to spend the school break ( from Oct 29 - Nov 1 ) in the home of my sister. They have a new house and it's our first time to visit. Anevay really had a blast playing with her cousin. We did not even left the house but still she is so happy. In fact she did not want to leave. Because of that, I am contemplating if it's wise to just transfer in the province. I was scouting the area and I saw a house which is for sale. And then a few meters away from the village is St. Scholastica. It's not that different from our setup here in Marikina. In fact they even have a store that sells discount dental supplies and they also have high speed internet connection. hahaha. Oh yes, I am connected even if I am at there house since they were able to set a wifi. I am happy that I was able to think of this idea. It was refreshing and certainly the break I am looking forward to because for three days I don't have to do any house chores! hahaha.
