A Lovely Compliment

thoughts of MiLeT @ Tuesday, June 21, 2011 0 comments
I know for a women, one of the best compliment you can received would be through flowers. We don't care if it was bought through flower discounts but what is important is the message the flowers convey. In my life, I have received lots of flowers but the most memorable are those that were given by my husband. Because it conveys the love that he has for me. And speaking of husband, well, I have received the most lovely compliment from him yesterday. lol. Through his messages via YM he told me he was not able to recognized me the first time he looks at one of the pictures I was being tagged. That's because according to him I really shed a lot of weight. Imagine that! Of course, I am happy about it. Well, actually a lot have complimented me about my weight loss but I did not pay much attention to it. But when it comes from him it was a big deal for me. haha. Thanks dad! You just made my day. Love you.

Anevay Antics Again

School has already started for the little girl last week. And she is quite happy about it since she can now play with her classmates and meet her teachers. She really is looking forward to learning in school. And I am also happy because now the little girl have someone else to bother with her questions about the solar system. hahaha. I am quite fascinated with her questions and statements. Like a couple of nights ago, she was rushing towards her aunt ( my older sister ) to tell her the name of the moons of Mars. My sister, looking for a way to silence her, asked the difference between the two moons. We were surprised when she was able to say difference. Imagine that! Then after that she talked to us about blogs.

Then another night, she was trying to change the channel of our TV. I was watching news and she wanted Play house disney. So I told her to press 4 and 9 since Playhouse is in channel 49. Well, she answered that there is no N in the remote. hahaha.

My days are interesting because of this little princess. She is full of facts that I have to sometimes research to keep up.

Drained!

I stopped posting some entry for a while because I suddenly remembered that I have two expired domain this coming July. Good thing I checked my bluehost account and found out that my other website is expiring too! So, I decided to renew them before it slip my mind again. Though, right now I cannnot find my motivation to update my blogs I still cannot let them go. Maybe this is just a temporary burn out and hopefully in the near future I can find that enthusiasm to write again. I am almost online 24/7 through my phone because that's where the husband calls me. But mostly, I just checked my FB and twitter account. Or shop online and check out some cherokee workwear. Oh I need some other diversion. I know I will be busy what with Anevay going back to school but I am not happy unless I know I am helping my husband in terms of income. Though most of the time my online income only goes to my shopping money also. haha. So, right now I am urging myself to research about another business option. Hopefully I can find what I am looking for. Which as of the moment I am clueless about.

Parent's Orientation

Yesterday, I attended the parents orientation and thanksgiving mass in the school of my little girl. Actually I already sent a message that I won't be able to come because of some reason but fortunately we were able to straighten out the problem and I was able to attend. And I was early I was the first one. lol. The teachers have asked me to a commentator and I was tasked to the first reading. This brought some fond memories of my elementary and high school days when I have to arranged the mass for our school. Oh yeah, my childhood friends and I would always be the one responsible for the mass and novena. Unfortunately, I did not wear my eyeglasses so I have a hard time reading the script. After the mass was the orientation. There are only four of us who are already moms of old students. Majority are first timers. Imagine from seventeen enrollees we are now 29! A big improvement. I am just hoping that the kind of teaching won't change. It can change but for the better :) I am kinda excited to see the attitude of the little girl towards serious learning. No playing. haha. Teacher said they would be introducing fraction. Goodluck to me! haha.

In this orientation, two things have stayed on my mind which I would like to share.

First, if possible don't read fairy tales to your kids. Not unless they are already six or seven, capable of grasping the story. Why? Well, as Teacher L said, tell me a fairy tale that does not have any violence in it? Now, I would favor Aesop fables over the disney princesses.

Second, and I would say I am happy to be able to experience this. One way for a father to show how much he loves his child is by loving her/his mother.

Both are true, right? Now, I am excited what the school and teachers has to offer for the school year.
