Collect and Collect
If you were given a choice what would you collect? Well, for some it would be shoes, some clothes, and others bag. Before, I belong to that group but now, I have changed my priority. If somebody gave me the authority to buy anything i want for free I would definitely buy gold eagle coins. Why? Because from what I learned at usgoldbureau.com, gold coins really would help you in the future. They are good investments. That's why when we are finished with our loan, I would buy gold coins. For now, I'll try to learn the market and make sure if I collect, I would also gain some funds from it.

All Girls or Coed
I attended school at a catholic church in the province. That was from kinder to high school. Later, we transferred to the metro for my college education. I did not find any problem with my school. Now, I am thinking if its okay to send anevay to an all girls or coed. My husband was telling me to scout other schools other than the all girls school near our place. I am considering Phil Science or International School but they are a bit far. Oh man. What to do? Well, I will try to see others near our area.

As Early as Now
We are already discussing where to send the little girl to school. Actually I feel blessed that a part of the tuition fee cann be reimbursed through the husband's company. Right now if Anevay would go to school here in the Philippines, all my choices are all girls catholic school. I wanted her to attend a coed school and right now I am considering international school. But we still have an option. We would let her study in an American school in Kuwait. That is if I can arranged my papers. We are still undecided and praying to god for guidance.

Settlement
This week we received a call from the HR personnel of the company we used to work for. Seems like the husband is entitled to a resignation pay because he resigned after more than ten years of working with the company. The compensation was just given because some employee petitioned for it. Not sure though if how much the husband is getting since he was not able to meet up with the Hr officer as scheduled. This settlement is just like the Transunion Settlement. If you have not heard yet, TransUnion, illegally sold confidential information from 1987 to 2000. Some people where affected by this trading of credit secrets. And so if you are one of them, you might want to read through the transunionclaims.com. Who knows you might be able to get a large sum because of this.

Misconception
I don't know why but people have this concept that if you have someone in your family who works outside the country that you have money to spare everytime. This past few weeks I have been subjected to this kind of people. I think they saw us as some kind of a bank where in they can withdraw anytime. The problem is they have no deposit and they want money as soon as possible. If only I can show them our monthly expenses, the bills we pay, I would so that I could tell them that we also have expenses and we spend the money. The last encounter with the kind of people left me irritated. It's not because they are borrowing money but I don't like the way they asked for the money. The borrower called me through our landline. At that time we have a guest. So she told me she needs money but she can pay through checks. I told her already that I might not be able to give her a large amount because one we have a large cash out the other day because of the birthday party of the little girl. Second, I have to pay the tuition fee of Anevay. And third and the most important reason, the husband has not received his salary yet. After explaining to her she told me if we can just let her borrow a smaller amount. I told her I have to talk to the husband first. And she started to be demanding asking me when I will talked to him and get back to her. I understand that she needed the money but I told her we have a guest and I can't just drag the husband away from our visitor because it's a bit rude. But she demand again for the time. Urgh! At that point I was really irritated already. I don't know if she understand our situation or she really is desperate. In the end, we decided we don't have enough to spare her. I just hope people would be a lot considerate.

Plans
During the five days vacation of the husband we were visited by friends. My childhood friends, a former officemate and his family. Through the visits, I am more and more convinced that we really need to start saving so that we can reconstruct and put up a second floor for the house. Maybe, we can even put electric fireplaces when we put up an extension. So that's a part of our goals. Hopefully by this year or next we can settle our housing loan and therefore start with the upgrade of our house. Oh, I am so looking forward to it if we can find the funds. For now all we need is be thrifty and save a lot for all the plans to materialized.

Wide Awake
Clock reads : 12:38am. Both Anevay and me are wide awake. She woke up a couple of minutes ago, crying. Not sure if its because she misses her daddy or because she has slight cold or both. Or she was disturbed by the sound of the rain. She does not like loud noises. So, right now while I am working in her laptops, she is watching playhouse disney. I let her since we don't have classes. From wednesday till friday we don't have classes. I though we could rest, but I was wrong. Last Wednesday we went to Padre Pio and rushed to SM to buy a fan. Then today we went to St. Lukes for my check up. I am a bit dizzy now. But I still have to finished some more work.

Gifts
Anevay received a lot of gifts for her birthday. From school and from the party we held for her for her 4th birthday. Right now, there's only one more gift (except for the puppy) that she wanted and that we are did not buy yet -- the bicycle. To which her daddy have promised to purchase when we have time and before he goes back to Kuwait. But if given a choice, I think I would like to buy gold bullion for her every year. This way we can collect the precious gold which in the future would give her concrete investment. That would also secure her living. And I think by doing so, is hitting two birds into one stone. Imagine coming up with a nice gift idea and good investment also!

4 years
I was so busy that I was not able to write something for my little girl on this blog for my little girl. She has celebrated her birthday last Friday and one of the greatest gift that she received was to have her daddy come home. We are so happy that we are one complete for her birthday. She has so many celebration, in school and also a party in Jollibee. Which I have to blog about when I have time. For now, I am rushing because we just arrived and I have a deadline to beat ;). We have a good night by watching the Last Airbender in the nearby mall.

I agree that people now tends to look into the used of the gadgets not the physical appearance of it. That just means how we have matured with technology. We now know which app to used to make our life easier. That's why we should be thankful to those involved in the area of iPhone Development because they devote their time and effort for apps that we can used.

Gold Coins
No doubt about it gold coins are one of the things that you can consider good investment. Because gold is always marketable and it's price is stable. Though sometimes it goes down but eventually as time goes by it will still increase. Given the opportunity I would have wanted to collect gold for my little girl. It would really be a good idea that for every birthday I would allot a budget to buy gold and then store it somewhere. So that when the time comes or when she is old enough to manage it on her own she has something to secure her future. Isn't that great. I think I got that idea from the practice of India. It was the husband who told me about that. And it's been on my mind for quite sometime now. I just hope and pray that I would still be there until she is old enough. b

As she grows old
I am so happy with my little girl. She seems to improve everyday and she is so sweet. I cannot help but be grateful of having her in my life. Everyday, she would always hug me and kiss me out of the blue. When I am sick and needed joint pain remedies she would go on my side and massage my joints. She also would say, want water mommy. haha.
One time, while eating she told me 'Joyeux anniversaire'. At first, I thought it was a typical word that she can't pronounce clearly. I asked her to repeat what she said. When I can't really translate I asked her what she means. She told me Teacher taught her that, and that's when I realized she was already having her French lesson. haha. Which her teacher confirmed to me when I asked her yesterday. NOw, mommy has to learn french too!

Hmmm!
The little girl's birthday is coming up. And I have decided to throw in a birthday party for her in a nearby Jollibee store because the husband is coming home. And then since her birthday falls on a weekdays, we have a simple celebration in school. Actually the school does not encourage big celebration. And they do have a ceremony for their celebrants. So what I plan is just to put in some food in styro pack which the kids can eat during their snack time. I also have loot bags which I would distribute. Anevay shares a birthday with a classmate. The mom of the boy was discussing the plans with me. And since we are clueless as to what is acceptable with the school we wanted to have a chat with the head. Unfortunately until today we have not talked properly to her. I talked to her for just a few minutes but it's just about the family camp which is scheduled on the 24th. The thing is I was a bit annoyed (well, annoyed is a strong word) or should I say a bit affected by the comment the mom. She told me that she was thinking that I would splurge for the party because Anevay is the only daughter and I can afford to be 'bongga'. I really hate that kind of thinking, you know. It's a mentality that I really avoid. I guess that's one of the reason why school prohibit big parties. There are really people who cannot help but compare. hay buhay.

Learning Beauty
I always admire people who knows how to beautify themselves. Beautify means do their hair, dress themselves up prettily and put on their make up. Because truthfully, I cannot do that. haha. I am just a simple girl who does not really put much attention to appearances. But that changes when I become a mom to a girl who always wants to play dress up. No kidding. She would never go out of the house just wearing the clothes she wears at home. And you need to make sure that her hair is ok plus all the accessories that she needs. haha. And she is just turning 4 this July. Ah headache. Now, can you tell me if I need to enroll myself to Jacksonville Cosmetology School so that I would know a thing or two about cosmetology? That would be coping up with the demands of a little girl who wants to be pretty everyday. haha.

I want to..
I want to book a room even for just one in the ThunderBird resort in Rizal. But I am not sure if that is a wise decision. For one, the vacation of the husbannd is too short. Also the days that he would be here would be busy for us. What's with the little girl's birthday. Our weekend would be jam-packed. Yet I wanted to take this opportunity to bond with our family. That would entail some budgeting on the side ;(. As far as I am concerned, I don't want to spend some more money. I wanted to save because right now I am forecasting some big medical expenses coming my way. Though if I have a choice, I don't like that to happen. There is also that airfare we would be using just in case we would be flying to Kuwait for Christmas. Oh man. Something has to give I guess.

Complete Meals
As a mom, you always like your kids to be healthy. Starting from your pregnancy, wherein you make sure you take the right prenatal vitamins til the time you give birth and then until they grow up. Inspite the fact that we have to deal with a lot of things like having a picker eater etc. we have to be have a lot of patience to make sure we give our kids the right thing. That is what I am doing right now. Knowing that not giving the proper nutrition would give problems along the way. And also its an additional pressure that I have lupus. Though a lot of professional are saying that it's not hereditary, still I don't want Anevay to have it.
So now, even if it's tiring and challenging I make sure that Anevay have a complete meal for the day. I make sure she have heavy breakfast when she goes to school. Either she have a bowl of quaker oats and milk or rice with chicken nuggets. This way, I am not worried that she would be hungry in school. Most of the time, she don't eat her snacks. Then for lunch most of the time it's chicken or fish and vegetables. She is now used to having veggies mixed with her meal. Though it's easier if that veggie is part of the soup I prepare. And now I am very happy that we don't have crying sessions anymore when she drink her freshly squeezed orange juice. haha. This week I again started giving her fresh orange juice and we are on Day three. When her daddy called she told him that the juice was yummy. haha. =Also, I already reduced her intake of chocolate by not giving her chocolate cookies which are her favorite. I think my effort is paying off.

Not because
Sometimes it irritates me when some 'people' assumed that I am at home all day. True, I am a stay at home mom, I don't have an 8 to 5 work but that does not mean that I don't have responsibilities. That my world is confined in the four corners of our house. And that I don't do anything. But I really don't mind their perception. As long as I know that my husband know what I am doing, what my responsibilities are and that I am trying to do my best to fulfill everything despite my condition I am happy. I don't care what other people believe. For me they belong to a group of people who have shallow thinking and whose mind never knows how to respect other people. I tried to avoid them as much as possible because they never would be a positive addition to my life.

Birthday Package - Jollibee or McDo
I am already decided that I would book the Jollibee party package as decided that I am to follow one of the diets for quick weight loss that I found online. But early this morning my sister sent me a message to consider the birthday package for Mc Donalds because they have Disney princess and fairies themes which are both Anevay's favorite. I tried looking at the McDo website but the page for the birthday package is still under construction. So, I'll just personally visit their store.
But I think I would still go for Jollibe because of the store location. It's more accessible to our guest and I prefer the food of it. My nephew and nieces does not like the spaghetti and iced tea of McDonalds and I share their sentiments. haha. The only thing that I don't like about the package of Jollibee is that they don't have one with the combination of spaghetti and chicken joy. I wanted to remove the fries on the menu since I have witnessed in a lot of parties that fries are only thrown and wasted ;(.
Not unless the McDo package would be a lot cheaper, then maybe that would be a big factor in my decision. Let see, because right now my estimate for the Jollibee party I am preparing is less that 10k.

Dental Checkup
This week in school was intended for Medical and Dental checkup. On Monday a doctor came but unfortunately ( or fortunately ) Anevay missed it. Then the next day, Tuesday, it was dental check up. When I was informed by one of the teachers I was already thinking that I should have not left school but I have some errands to do so I needed to leave. When I arrived to fetch Anevay, the head teacher greeted me and told me to accompany Anevay since they cannot persuade her to sit and open her mouth to the dentist. And my daughter is strong willed. No matter what we do she really was strong in her resolve not to show her mouth.
That's her with one of her teacher. They are playing hide and seek with the dentist. haha. While I was trying to make her open her mouth by taking her picture. To no avail. In the end, I told her we would play on guard, then started tickling her. I carried her and directed her head to the dentist. When I tickled her, lo and behold, her mouth open and we were done. Though the inspection was not thorough the dentist have seen that a tooth already needs a filling. Goodluck to that. haha. Nah, she suggested we go to a dental clinic for a visit until Anevay gets used to seeing a dentist then do the filling. Oh well.

Toy Story 3

Finally we were able to watch Toy Story 3. It was just the two of us to watch it (We miss you daddy!). After waiting for some few minutes before going into the movie house ( I needed to look for an adult acne in a nearby store), Anevay was able to see Woody and Buzz on the big screen.
She was impatient. While trailers after trailers are being shown in the screen, she kept on asking me 'Where's Toy Story 3, mommy?'. I told her to wait and be patient. When at last she show them she was clapping and then have watched silently. She was completely absurd with the movie. And towards the ending, she shed a tear! So I know she really understand the movie. We were both crying at the ending. haha. I know time will come that I would be like Andy's mom, sending Anevay to college. Letting go really is a hard process even if it only involves toy right? The movie is great! Can't wait to have a copy of it!

4th Birthday
I am not really big in parties. In fact, if I can, I would really avoid having party. But ever since I become a mom, I always feel guilty when I don't have anything prepared for the little one's birthday. But we only threw in a big party for her (well, it was not really that big) during her first birthday in Maxs. Then the 2nd and 3rd one, we just celebrated it at home with the neighborhood kids. I make sure there is cake blowing, balloons and of course the kids favorite -- takeouts from fastfood restos McDo and Jollibee.
This year it would be a little bit different. For one, the greatest gift ever is that Daddy is coming home. Yippee! I know he was just home last June, haha! So I decided to threw in a party for the little girl. At first I was a bit hesistant. Since I have a different plan. Later I realized that the party would be a great way to get together with friends. And in her age, she would definitely enjoy that party. Now, I am kinda excited for the 23rd ;)

Wrong Perception
Yesterday I realized that I got my calendar all wrong. While waiting for the litle girl in school and staring at their office furniture, I was a little bit unhappy to discover that my perception that the husband would arrived next week was wrong. So, I still have to wait for two weeks more. Hmm. It's okay since I am really am too busy right now with mommy duties. But I am coping and am thanking my stars because I am feeling physically well. Internally though I am not. I amm praying really hard that everything will go right with exercise, diet and lots of praying.

The Montessori Approach
More and more I am loving the montessori approach. Actually, I love how the kids are being handled in my daughter's school. Since it's not the first time that Anevay has attended school I have a point of comparison. I have been seeing a lot of development in her. She seems to be happy always and always look forward to going to school. This week eventhough she has colds and cough ( she even skipped class on Monday ) she insist on going to school. Also when she comes home she would sing all the songs that they sang that day.
Before I am really hesistant to enroll Anevay in a montessori especially after reading feedbacks in the internet that even though a lot of of schools called themselves 'montessori', they don't practice the 'PRACTICE'. A lot of school just put that tag to them to attract enrollees. But during the parents orientation, we were asked to watched a video wherein they discussed the concept of Maria Montessori and they showed all the 'teaching instruments' that they used. Those on the videos were adapted by the school. Which the kids are using now.
And with Anevay's attitude now which shows eagerness to learn ( she is in a stage right now where she likes to put three letters together to make a word) I think we are heading in the direction that I want. Hopefully this would continue.

Sunday like no Other
Today, the little one has a cold. She got it from her cousin so I decided not to send her to school. Unfortunately, I too feel some heaviness so when we woke up at around 6am, and after breakfast I decided to sleep while the little one is playing. Maybe I was tired of yesterday's activities. No, we did not end up scouting shops to buy gold coins, though if I have the means and the opportunity, why not, right? Because gold is a good investment. No matter what time, no matter what age, you can get an exchange for gold.
Anyway, yesterday was a different yesterday for us. I decided to her mass at the Padre Pio Church in Libis. We arrived a few minutes before the mass starts and the room is packed already. And when it reaches it max capacity the doors were closed. I am always against closing of doors because for me church is universal and should always be open to people anytime of the day. But for orderliness sake since there are church goers who are on a wheelchair I guess they have no choice. The mass went well. I like their audio. But really there are a lot of people. After the mass I was wondering why there is a long line and it's slow moving. I found out that the lay minister are blessing each one with oil. Then I went to the shop, I regret not having enough cash ;). I so wanted to buy the rosary. Next time I will be back and would buy it.

School Update
We are already on our third week in school. And I am so glad of the developments that I have been seeing. Since they are only nine in class, every students are given equal attention by the teachers. I like the way how the kids are being handled. After assembly time, the kids are given a few minutes to play with the toys that the school has. Of course this toys are all patterned after the principle of Montessori. After playing they will all head to their respective rooms. Maybe because she is older now, Anevay somehow tells me how it was in school. And every day she sings new songs to me and just last weekend she was attempting to copy her teachers. She have a notebook and she scribbled on it while saying 'Teacher (teacher's name)'. Now she is trying to read all the words that she can see. And is trying to used the letter sounds. I am really happy with the development I see. So to help her write and read, I am devoting an hour a day to teach her. Since she is to lazy to practice writing, I started her using the maze book by Kumon. And it really help. I am really glad that she is enjoying her school. And me too!

My Schedule
Now that the schedule of the little girl is settled, I also now have a schedule when it comes to sending her to school, fetching her and doing house chores in between. Last school year, I let her go alone on the school bus but this time I decided to go with the school bus because he does not have a helper. And it's only Anevay on the vehicle. We would sleep around 8pm and I would wake up around 5am. This way I am guaranteed that I stay healthy. Yeah, no more late nights for me now and no more dark circles. I would prepare breakfast, either oatmeal or rice for the little one. She would wake up around 6:30am. After eating, I would bathe her and then I would take a bath. Will be in school by 7:45. Just in time for a play in the playground before the assembly. By past 8, I would go out of the school for my 30 minutes walk. After walking I would either head to where my errands would take me but I need to make sure I'll be at the house by 10am so that I can cook, take a bath and then go back to school. This way when we arrived at the house, she can eat her lunch. Most of the time, she won't take an afternoon nap so our PM is allotted to practice writing and counting. I think that's how we spend our day mostly. In between, we go to the grocery or outside. Anywhere just to break the routine.

On Ballet
Tomorrow, Anevay would be on her third ballet lessons. She seems to enjoy it. Actually I don't really know what is happening inside the studio since the door is closed always. But every time her session is done, she always have a big smile on her face and she keeps on walking on her tiptoe ;). According to her teacher, she follows instruction. And when I asked her to show her ballet moves, she does all the stretches and dances. Now, I am thinking if I would enroll her for another month.
This what she wore last Saturday. I am too lazy to washed her usual pink ballet outfit and was glad to stumble the red one. And a pair of black leggings. I was surprised to see how beautiful it turned out ;)

Lazy
You might have noticed that I am not actively blogging nowadays. Well, I guess you can call it burn out. Just like what I experienced before I resigned from work. Aside from that I am really busy offline. What with the little girl in school and me taking her and fetching her, I really don't have internet time nowadays. Also, little by little I am cleaning the house. I plan to hire a cleaning lady but I can't seem to fight it on my schedule. I have lots of plans that I wanted to do materialized like changing our curtains to blinds but that has to wait since lots of task are on hand. As the husband told me I have lots of pending. Some needs to be settled asap, some can wait. But one thing I am sure, I cannot just sit down and do nothing. Yet the irony of it all, even if I have lots of things to do, I need to take a rest or else my LUPUS would strike.
