Vanity at its Finest

Right now my sister are chatting right now. She just arrived and we just saw each other. Of course we have a lot to talk about. I was telling her that in Kuwait that the saloon for men outnumbered the saloon for women. My sister asked does this means the men are more vain that woman? Well, I guess. But you see fellow Filipinos are eager to apply on these saloons. Because as compared to what they earned in the Philippines, they is a big difference in salary. I think there skills would fully developed if they enroll themselves on beauty school like Arkansas Beauty School where they can learn some trips and tricks on cosmetology.

Confused

I am so confused right now. When we were in Kuwait I was able to hold off my excitement on the prospect of going back to school for the little girl, then last night I received a message from a fellow mom telling me that they would check a new school within our area. I search for the school in the internet and I was impressed by the pictures that I saw. Today, we went there and man, not only are there facilities nice, the concept also of teaching is very well explained to me. Since it's my second time I know what questions to asked. And I was not shy to ask the question because it's for my daughter. I already have a nod of approval from my husband. He thinks it's a better school than the one that Anevay attended last year.

My Motivation

If I could I wanted to used a natural fat burner to help me out in my weight problems. But I still need to consult my doctor. Now, I have my motivation not only to shed off the pounds but also to be healthy as well. During one of our conversation, when we were deciding if its time to go home, the husband said to me, you need to stay healthy mommy if you want to go back here. So that next time we really won't be separated anymore. My husband never makes any request from me. Nor force me to do something I don't like. For me he is the epitome of a kind, generous and patient man. And hearing him say that really makes me think that I need to stay in shape. He said that not for himself I know but for us as a family. I know God will help us in our endeavor.

Time For...

In our two months in Kuwait, one things that I was not able to do which I do so religiously here is to go to the saloon for some hair treatment and nail care. Unfortunately because of that I now have dandruff and my nails are not well cared for. I also badly need some foot scrub and I think I need to avail the best acne treatments of the spa.

Now, I am excited to have some treatment. I'll try the saloon in front of our house. I just hope they have nice services. Will see. I'll go there later this afternoon if I am in the mood.

This week

The husband was able to avail a one week vacation from his company. It isn't much but it's better than the three day vacation he has when he fetched us to go to Kuwait. Next week we would we squeezing in activities like visiting Anevay's school and getting her card and enrolling her. Then go shopping for the husband's office clothes. By hook or by crook I am going to force him to update his wardrobe. haha. Then I am going for a check up.

From this moment on until I think November my goal is to stay healthy and fit. I don't know if I can do some ab workouts but I am resolved in making sure that when we go back to Kuwait I don't have those stubborn aches and I won't get sick. Knowing now what to expect makes me all prepared in our next trip.

Gift

What would be a nice gift to a very loving husband? I wanted something special, something that would make him say 'wow' and something that he would used everyday. I am thinking an e cigarette would definitely fit the bill, right? Since it would also help him. Man, I am having a hard time thinking of a gift. He seems to have everything. Or should I say all the things that I thought about giving him, he already have. Though I think he just don't want me spending some money on him which is a contrast when it comes to me. You see I am a very spoiled wife. haha. And I have an equally spoiled daughter. ;) Spoiled because her daddy showered her a lot of things but not in anyway a brat (if you know what I mean)

Beauty Products

I was thinking what is prototype 37c. I've seen it on the web and got curious about it. Seems like it can help in the anti wrinkle process. one thing that I definitely need. My skin is now showing signs of aging. In Kuwait there are a lot of beauty products and it's really a waste that I was not able to do some shopping because I am really sick when we got home. Not to worry though, next time we go there I know what to expect. So I am prepared. ;). I just wished that when I go to my check up they won't find any new complications.

Goal : To Be Healthy

I really hope I can find some diet supplements that work. I badly need to lose weight and to stay healthy. Our vacation in Kuwait showed me how out of shape I am. And the husband and I agreed that I need to be healthy first before we go back there. Truth is, I our plan is to stay there for a long time. We are already working on our residence visa but unfortunately I got really really sick. Our last week there I got a fever. A sign of an infection inside. So we decided that I need to have myself checked first here so that we can
be sure that I am healthy.

Flying Business Class

The husband has been a loyal Emirates customer. He always uses this airlines in his travels so the miles would really add up. Then last March when we flew to Kuwait his membership was upgraded to silver. Before our flight back he was already telling me that he wanted to book me via business class because the chairs are more comfortable. But even if I wanted to I said no because you know how much it cost. So we decided all there of us would be flying via economy. But we also know that there is a chance that he sit will be upgraded because of his membership. And when we were in the airport checking in the lady from Emirates told us that indeed he was upgraded. But we decline the offer.

Yet when we were in Dubai, after having all the aches in the one hour flight from Kuwait to Dubai, I finally agreed to avail the upgrade and leave my husband and daughter on the economy seat. I was hesitant but knowing its more convenient I have to grab the opportunity. And it's not everyday that you can fly business class on an economy class ticket right?

So, I was able to sleep a lot better because of the foot rest. The food is being served nonstop. And what I like most is the beauty kit that they gave. It is filled with lots of bathroom essentials which include beauty face cream. The beauty bag is also nice. With a lot of compartment that holds lotion, perfumes, tissue, mirrors, toothpaste. I was telling the husband I just go lucky. haha. And he told me next time he will let me fly again via business class so I can get another bag. I told him no, he should be the one to avail it next time because I also like the one they are giving to their mail passenger.

Touchdown

Aside from looking into numerous mails which includes life insurance policy I also need to do some clean up around the house. Yes, we are already home. And very much awake @ 1am. Eating McDonald's chicken. lol. We arrived yesterday at around 4pm, ate at Max's Market Market and then head home. The little girl was so happy to see her cousins and tita. It feels good to be home really. The moment we landed, the husband told me that I look a lot better. Yeah, I admit I am wasted when it comes to international flight. But this time, my experience is better. Why? I flew via business class. Yap. More on that later.

The Frog

Last weekend we were at the mall for some retail therapy. We were looking for some outdoor furniture and then we happen to passed by a store that sells watches. We went outside to look and the little girl saw a frog on the display. She exclaimed 'Oh a frog. I don't like a frog it's goowee oh! ( her term for yucky!)'. Then she added I don't like to kissed a frog. So the salesman attention talked to her. He said, oh, you don't like to kissed a frog? Which the little one answered. No! It's yucky. The man commented that the little girl is so smart. And we were taken by surprise on her next lines. He said to the man. Do you the movie Princess and the Frog. The man laugh and said yes. And the next question, Did you like it? haha

Shopping Weekend

We were out of the house the whole day for Friday and Saturday. We went out shopping! Yeah, and I am so happy with my purchases. I was able to buy a jeans four blouses for less than a thousand bucks (PH money). And the quality of the clothes are all good. They are on sale! Imagine, long sleeves blouses being sold for only Php 160 ( since the exchange rate has changed).

Then yesterday since we were going to transfer to some of our accounts in the Philippines, we went to the mall that sells jewelries. I was already asking the husband to buy me a bracelet and he bought me one plus an earring and a necklace for the little girl. Yeah, I am one happy and spoiled woman. I was able to buy also two watch which only cost me Php 300 each. lol.

Real Investments

One of my greatest dream is to have a lot of real estate properties under our name. That dream started with our first purchase of our family home. Now, the husband and I always takes about the real estate properties we would like to acquire. If only we can purchase property outside the country why not, right? Just like Tamarindo Real Estate. By the way, in case you didn't know Tamarindo is a small, peaceful beach town on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. Yeah, Costa Rica. Nice place, right? Hope we can get the wish come true. Well, all we need to do is to be disciplined and make sure we have savings and not spend much, right? That's is our motivation right now. The thought that someday we would be owners of huge lands in a prime location.

One More Month

We are still in Kuwait. Our visit visa expires on June 20 and before that the husband would be going to Germany for a training. We are still uncertain of what our future brings but I am praying that the future would see as together not separated. It's been a tough summer for me. We spend our days mostly indoors because it's really hot and I am really having a hard time when it comes to my health. I hope everything would get better soon.

Quotes

I am quite certain that this would be the last year we are going to pay for the husband's insurance. So, that would mean less expense and would have room for some more investments. I am trying to look for some cheap insurance quotes because I am planning to get an insurance for myself. After the husband's insurance premium is paid I plan to get one but with a cheaper premium. Because along side that we are planning on buying a new car. Here in Kuwait and in the Philippines. Yeah, that's a lot of expenses I know.

Best Buy

I don't know but after two months of being here I have still have not gone on a shopping spree as I have planned. Well, maybe the practical side of me wanted to make sure that I got the best buy in town and got my money's worth. I have to admit that in the past I made purchases that I think are not well worth it. So now I am being careful with my purchases. I have learned my lessons you know. But I am looking forward to going around to look for some jewelries ;). I hope I can put some more addition to my collection.

Sometimes

I guess I really need to be serious in reading those wrinkle cream reviews because I need to really have those anti wrinkle creams. haha. Seems like I am getting old and there are stuff that are of my concern right now that might cause me wrinkles. haha. I am just exchanging messages with my older sister right now and she was telling me something that irritates me ;). I just hope she would be able to fixed problem. Sometimes really there are just things you can't really avoid.

May 10 Elections

I have been entertained by different articles around the internet on presidential candidates. I try my best to just read those intelligently written and I avoid those that are full of attacks against a candidate. You see, I believed that one can write and defend his/her choice for president without resorting to name calling and mudslinging. Thought I won't be voting, I am still one with the Philippine nation as we pray for honest and clean election on Monday.

Ordering

Where can I order Phentermine? Well, I am thinking of trying it though I am still weighing the pros and cons. But of course I wanted to lose weight, who wouldn't right? Yet, I am not doing anything ( exercise nor diet) to decrease my weight. It's really, really heard. Especially if you have sickness like mine. My focus right now is just to stay healthy which of course is really a hard task ;)

Different Directions

When we first came to Kuwait, my agenda is to buy some branded stuff that are on sale. The husband would let me hop from one store to another and if there is a thing that I like he would say go buy it. But even if on sale I still feel that it's too much for my budget. So until now I haven't bought any but just a shoe that is worth 5kd. Then last week we went to a place that sells a lot of jewelry. My, I was energized. I wanted to buy them all. haha. And I won't have a guilty conscience because I know jewelries are a great investment. That's why yesterday we went back and look around again. I am definitely looking forward to buy some more piece of gold. ;)

Given UP?

Well, I have not yet but I still think I would be able to shed some pounds anymore. aha. That is if I won't be able to find and try those best weight loss products in the market right now. I wanted to do some exercise but unfortunately everyday I am plagued with joint pains. Really it's hard to get up during the morning. I have to deal not only with the pain but the stomach spasms that I am experiencing. It's really tough but I guess I have to deal with it because it's part of my lupus.

Shedding a tear

I am envious. And I have been very vocal about it to the husband. Every time there is a celebration like Mother's Day I cannot help but be sad and cry. It's not a hidden fact that I terribly miss my Papa and Mommy during this kinds of dates. Yeah, it's been a more that a decade since they have died but there still a child in me who always wish that somehow they are still with me. I know it's impossible but I am also glad that from time to time they would visit me in my dreams. I miss my mom, right now. My idol, the one who nurture me to be an achiever, a fighter and my guide in my journey to motherhood. Happy Mother's day mommy. Love you and I miss you.

Oh..oh..Trouble

This morning we stayed on the veranda to see Daddy leaving the parking lot. So while waiting, he called us through his cellphone. Not sure if my phone is having problems with its mic but he can't hear us when we were talking. Or I need a cell phone signal booster. I told him I have to check out the settings first of my nexus one. I still have not explored the phone's capabilities yet. I am too lazy right now to do anything. haha. Anyway, I'll check out the phone's setting later.

A Different Day

Would you believe we experienced power interruption today. Totally irritated. haha. But instead of ranting I chose to just do something out of it. The little girl and I started practicing her writing skills again. Then we did some of her Kumon worksheet. Then we took a bath. Since there is no aircon, I was so happy because it's my first time to take a bath without shivering afterwards. haha. I am even wearing sleeveless right now. But that will change because the power is now back and so is the aircon. haha. The little girl went to sleep. So right now I can blog uninterrupted.

For once

In these days that I am PMSing, I wanted to be a b1tch and would love to speak my mind out with those people who really irritate me. But even if I have my hormones for my nastiness I still prevented myself. But really some people are getting into me even if it's online.

Good thing I have my daughter to make me laugh. This morning I was telling her that we would be going home soon. Here is our conversation.

Me : Anevay, do you want to home already.
Anevay : NOOOOhhh, I don't want to leave daddy behind.
ME : Oh why? Daddy snores too loudly. So let's just leave him behind.
Anevay : NO, I'll just cover my ears.

haha.

Then for the last few days she kept on shouting FBI. Influenced of watching too much Criminal Minds. haha. And this morning, she has her toy cellphone and she said. Hello FBI, can I order breakfast? haha.

The Nexus One

Though it was not really a surprised, but still when the husband handed we a gift with the wrapper from their company. At first, I was really thinking what was inside. I am like a child who does not want to open her gift. haha. I thought it was a perfume...well, because of the wrapper.

I love my Nexus one. I am still trying to discover its different features but I have already downloaded lots and lots of apps and games ( for the little girl). Then when he went home after office he was carrying my request of ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. I really had all my wishes come true on my birthday. Now, if I only we can go to Germany on June then that would complete my wishlist. haha.

Dog Bites

What's your fear when you are a child? Me, I am afraid to be bitten by dogs because I know that would subject me to countless injections. lol. I have heard a lot of horror stores about being bitten by dogs and how much it cost for just one injection. It's really very expensive and so a lot of those bitten demands that the owner of the dog help with the expenses. I guess if they would the victim can seek help from legal officers like Austin dog bite lawyer, right? They would be of big help in settling the bills and compensation if any.

Rushing

Despite the pain here I am rushing some work. Yeah, I have task expiring in one hour and I have to write five more. Man, we were out the whole day so I don't have a choice but to do them tonight. Hopefully I can finished them all before time runs out on me. hay.

RUBY Earrings

Finally I found an earring for the little girl which has her birthstone. I have been looking for one at home but I cannot seem to find the right one. So today we scouted. And I am so happy to find an affordable one. 18k earring with a ruby stone for 12KD ( 1kd = Php 150). And hopefully I can buy one for myself next month.

Jewelry Shopping

It was not planned. In fact, the husband and I are looking forward to shopping for clothes in another mall. But we have to remit some money in our account before we head to that mall. And it just happens that the place where the remittance is has a lot of stores with jewelries. You can also buy gold bullion there. Yeah, and for the first time in my life I have seen gold bars. It's way out of our budget but I can tell it's really good investment. You can tell because the value of gold never depreciate. That's why I told the husband that in the future we would be buying one as an investment. Hopefully we would be given a chance to buy one.
