Saturday Swim

I always write here how I develop especial bond with some mommies from the preschool where the little girl is enrolled. And now that one of the mom has moved in closer to the school we sometimes eat breakfast at their house. haha. Anyway, after the swimming party we had at Georgetown in Marikina, one of the mom bought her kids an inflatable swimming pool which is big enough to accommodate around five kids. So we decided that we let the kids swim there while we chat and have a drinking session ( since I don’t drink they bought Cali Shandi for me. haha).

The little girl and I were the first to arrived. One of the kid was her classmates ( and she kept telling me her best friend also) and her sister is four years old so Anevay was in heaven when she saw their room. IT’s full of Disney princess stuff. haha.

See the pillows, the bed sheets and even the trash can? haha. That was in the room of the kids, they were playing bubbles so I told them to go outside. Once outside they decided to run and that really made us nervous.

That’s why even if we were not complete yet we let them swim already.

In the picture below all three of them were pointing to an airplane. Telling us that their dad is in the airplane. haha.

At around 5 or 6pm, we decided that they have swim time already since they are already shivering. And once inside it was chaos! haha.

They were dancing while we are waiting for our pizza and chicken to arrived. We have a grand time eating since the carbonara which Mado ( our hostess for the event) cooked was really yummy. It was my first time to eat a lot of white sauce. I really don’t eat white sauce spag but hers was an exception. We are asking for her recipe and she promised to give us a copy. Then after dinner and the kids played on the room, they asked to swim again. That was around 8pm already.

Anevay had a grand time playing. While I also have a grand time talking with fellow moms on different topic. We end up going home at around 10pm. I took home the MOJOs which the little girl ate and then she went to bed directly. haha. She was so tired that today she was telling me to give her vitamins for energy. Imagine that! haha.

Educate Thyself

Yesterday or should I say last night (since we started at 4pm and stop at around 10pm) I am chatting with fellow preschool moms. We planned the day so that the kids can enjoy swimming in the inflatable swimming pool while we mothers can chat and drink on the side. We tackle different topics. From school to house stuff to how to improve oneself. A fellow mom who is years younger that us is contemplating on enrolling herself cosmetology school. She loves dolling up so it's no surprise that she wishes to learn how. I told her that if she really don't have time to go back and forth to a traditional school she might try browsing through regencybeauty.com. The site has everything about cosmetology.

Speaking of Annoyed

My previous post made me remember my irritation to a certain someone. I know her personally but we are really not that close. I have an impression that she is someone who wants to put a front to show that she is well off. Unfortunately for her I was able to uncover who she really is. Imagine, having a group that she calls her true friend yet when she needs help in terms of finances and other stuff she would approached me even without asking first if I am occupied or not. I know I am generous to a fault. If I can help every body then I would. But I also have my limits. And that person has already reach my limit. Imagine, she has the guts to asked me to do something for her without any please and just out of the blue. I cannot help but think of what she really is. She is far different for the personality she wanted to portray. I wanted to avoid such kind of person. Good thing I don't have any direct interaction with her.

Spoil Sport

You can call me spoil sport but I don't see the fun of laughing at others appearance especially when the individual being laugh at does not know that some people are making fun of them. This thing about posting old high school pictures in Facebook is nice you know. It brings back memories ( good and bad) but I really don't like when some classmates of mine are laughing at other classmates as if they were so pretty and don't have a flaw. I might be getting old. hahaha. Instead of laughing with them, I am so irritated. Annoyed to the point that I wanted to point a Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner to them as if it's a deadly weapon. haha.

Then maybe someone from the group noticed that I am posting some comments in FB and never posted anything on the thread with our class picture so she tagged again. I was already tag before and she might not have noticed it. I wanted to untagged myself because I feel that what they are doing is so low. Again, that's just me. So instead of reacting I am just telling myself to keep quite. Because I might end up offending them if I wrote something there. Oh well, I am just ranting.

I Want

My Birthday is still months away. Well, actually my birthday, mother's day and our wedding anniversary falls on the same month. If everything pushed through it's my first time to celebrate those in a foreign land. I am looking forward to it and now I am itching to asked the husband to give me a gift. haha. No kidding, I wanted this ( if we have the money for it) :

• Trip to Jerusalem - on Good Friday. I already told the husband my desire and he said he will check. According to him there are tours being offered.
  
• Ring with a stone - haha. I just want a ring. period.
  
• Iphone or Blackberry - but I can not have it but still be happy. If i got the ring. ;)
• Netbook - this is for the little girl.
• One more bag - either a coach, or an LV or Gucci.
  

This are just on my wish list. It does not mean I want them all at once. But definitely I will save for each.

Final Assessment

March 1 to 9, the little girl would be having her third and final assessment in school. And according to the note that I received they would just be coming to school on the day of their scheduled exam, which they did on their first assessment. That means from march 1 to 9, she does not have classes. I don't know if I would be happy with that or not. lol. Anevay easily got bored when she does not have any interesting activities to do. If left without anything to occupy her hand, you would see her climbing the sofa, jumping up and down ( if we have a dip station she might end up using those just entertain herself). So I am left with the challenge of thinking what activities to occupy her time. I need to make sure that she is preoccupied or she will drive me nuts. We might end up going to the house of her classmate who has this big inflatable swimming pool( whose mom is also a friend). Let's see. But over the weekend, we will definitely review.

Anevay, 3yrs & 7 months

Over the months Anevay definitely have blossomed. She added some inches in her height and kilos on her weight. I am very much thankful that she has now been eating a lot. My efforts in making sure she eats right have paved off. She knows when its time to eat breakfast, dinner and lunch. She would asked snacks in between meals. And now her favorite..CHICKEN. She can finished two parts of a fried chicken in one seating. Not only that, also TILAPIA and BANGUS. haha. A growing appetite indeed.

Also, she conversed smartly. Sometimes I cannot help but think if she is really three years old. haha. She keeps on asking what, how and why. And if I asked her something she would definitely have an answer. She has lots of BECAUSE also. What I like most is that before she do something that she thinks I might object she would ask 'Can I do this? or Can I eat this?'. She never forgets to ask permission.

She loves to say 'I love you' out of the blue. And most often than not when she arrives from school or after her one hour Kumon session, she would hug me tightly and say I missed you with a follow up question, Did you missed me too? haha. She is one sweet girl.

How Much Savings?

The husband ask me a very difficult question last night. He asked 'How much are we going to save once you are here already?'. Actually, I have been thinking about that already in the past couple of days. I want to make sure that not all money would be going out of the pocket. Through careful planning, I wanted to make sure that we can save during our vacation. Even if it's a difficult task.

I have to admit the husband and I are not a model couple when it comes to finances. Sometimes we give in to our impulse and buy something we fancy. But we are trying to control those impulses. Not only because we don't want to be one of those who needed credit repair services but also we want to secure our daughter's future. Since all our sacrifices is really for her.

So I answered the husband jokingly that we would be saving a lot since I won't be going shopping when I have the urge. haha. And that if I shopped I would be using his credit card. lol. As to which he answer, why, are you credit cards not accepted internationally? haha. That's how the husband and I talk. Sometimes it's serious but most of the time full of jokes and laughter. He is fun to talk to that's why I love him so much! haha. Why did my post turned into mushy lines? Maybe because I missed him so much!

What to Bring?

Last night the husband and I have a lengthy conversation over the phone (goodluck to our phone bill! haha). He was at the mall at that time and was looking into different cellphone. I was telling him I don't want a cellphone anymore because I wanted to collect jewelries. haha. But honestly, I do! I wanted to add some more niceties on my collection ( as if I have a collection! well, I am starting to have one thanks to my dearest Mahal! ). Then he was telling me of the Sony Bravia on sale. We might need it for the vacation since it will keep the little girl busy. I told him he needs to check first our budget before buying. But if he would be buying, I wanted one which has a slot for usb. It's more convenient especially when you download a movie. Now, all I need to do is google a copy of a movie I like, save it on a stick and play it on our dvd. Convenience on my finger tips. lol.

Anyway, while he was telling me about he finds on the mall I also asked him what I would be bringing for our vacation. I wanted to bring seeds which we can plant on their pad. Then I want to have stocks for Maggi Magic Sarap, Knorr Sinigang Mix etc. haha. I just want to make sure that Anevay have familiar dish on our first few days in a foreign country. Actually I even planned to bring the Quaker Oats Chocolate flavor which she eats for breakfast. Now I realized I am definitely a mother. Instead of figuring out what dressed should I be wearing I am thinking of everything that would make our little one comfortable. That's motherhood! Well, I can just buy clothes there! haha. Shopping!

Because of Barbie

For three straight days now the little girl seems forgotten her favorite online games. Ever since she discovered different education sites and some sites of her favorite characters ( Playhouse disney, Nick Jr, Polly Pocket and Barbie ) she never missed a day without the internet. I even have to be firm is saying no to her when she will asked me to play the moment she wakes up. And now, I am so relieved she forgotten about it and you know why? It's all because of BARBIE. Yeah, every day after school she would have her daily dose of any Barbie she prefer. hehe. I have of course to schedule the viewing time. Though I am strict on the time she spent on the tv, I am still a little bit apprehensive that she might end up with eye problem with all the surfing and the viewing. That's why I am thinking of buying one of those tv stands I saw in the mall. I wanted one that is higher than the height of the one we have now. That way Anevay won't be able to come near it nor will she able to write on the screen. Yeah, sometimes when the mood strikes and I am not looking the little one turn our tv into a sheet of paper. And her pen? Screw driver. lol. I am just thankful that when she did that I was right on time to prevent it. You would really not know what will happen with a toddler.

To Reserve or Not to Reserve

Last month the preschool where Anevay is enrolled have already released a circular stating that we can now pay the reservation for next school year. We moms are discussing if we are going to pay or not. I have not paid yet since I am in dilemma. One of our hopes for this vacation is that we might be able to get a residence visa so that we won't be separated anymore. It's really hard that the husband is away almost all year with two weeks vacation every six months especially now that Anevay is growing up. So now I really can't tell if Anevay would still be enrolling in Ingenium for the next school year or she will be attending a different school in a different country. Though if we are going back ( I think we will be a few days late for the opening of SY 2010 to 2011) we would be in Ingenium again. Should I reserved or not? If I don't Anevay might end up in the pm session which I don't like. I would prefer her in the morning session. But if I reserved and we were able to get the visa, 3k would be put to waste. What do you think?

Early Morning Visitor

While I was on a rushed to bathe Anevay this morning ( she woke up late and the school bus always picked her up @ 7:45am or earlier) I received a text message from one of my mommy friend from Ingenium, N. She was asking if she can print his son's project on our printer since there's malfunctioned. I told her, it's ok and asked her what she wanted. She replied saying they will be at our house in 10 mins.

When she arrived she was already ranting about her husband. lol. While I was printing the pictures she was telling me the story why she got mad at her husband because they she have the rushed the home work because he was not able to do it for three days. I was laughing while she was telling her story and I told her not to be stressed out or else I have to find the best acne treatment for her. We were laughing all the time because of the assignment also. Imagine, five years old being asked how to manage toxic chemicals in the environment. Yeah, the school really challenges not only the kid's intellect but also the parent's resourcefulness. haha. Thankfully we were done by 8:15am. Though her son was late. Anevay left before they arrived at our house.

After going to school we went to a nearby grocery to get some stocks. I am still thankful that not only was Anevay able to socialized when I enrolled her in preschool but I was able to find friends who have been helping me out along the way during school activities and now out of the school activities.

Making My Way

I have been subjected to 'Barbie' torture this past few days. haha. The torture is self inflicted since I was the one who downloaded it and played it on our dvd. It's so convenient since our DVD is capable of playing movies straight from a memory stick. So all I need is just download, save it on the usb and put in on our dvd. And since the little girl like the songs ( and me too! ) I bought the Sing a Long with Barbie Cd. Here is just one of those times when Anevay is singing along.

Thankful to Technology

If I wanted to know where I can find the best Mopar performance parts, what I do is search the internet. If the little girl has an assignment to which I would have time finding a source, I would definitely look for it online. Yes, technology plays a major role in our life. And because of the innovations and inventions, I was able grab a copy of all the 12 movies of Barbie which the little girl is now enjoying. Imagine that! In the past we won't be enjoying this kind of leisure. And would have a hard time finding this. And that I am really thankful.

Transferring Domain

I finally found the answer on how to transfer this blog to my bluehost account. It's been ages since I wanted to move this blog and convert it to wordpress. But I am busy so I really did not have time to search on how to go about it. So, when last weekend when I found myself with nothing else to do I decided to work around my google account and viola! I found the answer. I did not do it just yet because I wanted to make sure that we I finally make the move I can put my full attention to it. From the move, to the updating of my blog. Hopefully I can do it sooner.

Gifts

I am currently thinking what gift I should give to Anevay's teacher as a way of thank you for their patience and effort for the school year. It's not easy to be a preschool teacher. They deserved something as a way of our gratitude. Do you think promotional pencils would do? Well, I still have three weeks to think but I am considering making a photobook since I have a lot of pictures of them and Anevay's classmate. That way I can also used the services of Digiprint. I want to try them instead of ordering the photo book online. Will see. For now, we have to prepare for the third and final assessment which is scheduled from March 1 to 9. After that I think we might be having a summer outing with some mommy friends. I has been a good and fruitful school year.

A Different Summer

The husband already got our visit visa. Today we talked on the date of our arrival and departure. Since I already got the schedule for the Moving Up Day of the little girl, we might be going a day after of the ceremony. So, no more swimming and ballets lessons for Anevay for this summer. And she would also stopped her Kumon sessions for three months. Instead, we would be having a different adventure. In a country that has a different culture. It's making me nervous but knowing that we would be spending those three months together makes me excited. It's definitely a blessing that we can bond for a long time instead of the two weeks to one month vacation of the husband. And I know God is with us because he gave us this opportunity. What I don't look forward is packing. haha. I just have to bring her leapster and click start plus her dvd just to make sure she will be busy.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Before I go and search about uppababy vista, let me say Happy birthday, Mommy! You might not be with us physically but I know everyday your spirit is with us, guiding and guarding especially the little one. It's been a long time but I still miss you badly. You know that when it comes to motherhood you are the BEST! That's why I try to duplicate every thing that you have done for the three of us. That's the reason why I gave up my career to become a full time mom. You have showed me through example that no amount can replace the time spend looking after your kids. Through you, my Ateng and I were able to achieved the top spot in school from elementary to highschool. Because of you Ateng have been a consistent Math quiz bee champ. And because of you, I am who I am now. I might not be able to achieved all this things but I swear I would definitely try. I love mommy and I missed you! Keep on looking after our little girl okay?

Some Help

A lot of friends have been eager to learn on how I am able to earn even if I am at home. Some thinks what I do is easy, some thinks its a bite difficult but I think to each its own. hahaha. I know some people who are not contend to what they have. But unfortunately rather that working hard on it like using a free seo software they would transfer the burden to other people.

I don't really know what kind of attitude is that. But for me, it is very disappointing when someone asked you to do something out of the blue for them without checking first if its okay with you. Seems like an outright command from someone who is not even your 'friend'. I also cannot figure out why you cannot asked help from people who you are close with, whom you interact everyday. Is it pride or you are embarrassed to show them your true predicament? Oh well. As I always say, to each its own.

And Summer Starts Now

Last week, fellow mommy friends decided we would visit the Georgetown Fitness Club here in Marikina. That is where Anevay had her swimming lesson summer of last year. And for this year, we all decided that we would enroll our kids. Unfortunately, I am suffering a headache and so I was not able to join them today. Actually I think the headache is cause by my improper diet. I think I just take those diet pills than starved myself to death.

But they sent me a message while they were in Georgetown and also called me up. We would be having lessons for 12 sessions during Sats and Suns @ 9am. And then since one of kids would be celebrating his birthday tomorrow so the mommies decided to celebrate it by welcoming summer early. They decided to have a swimming party in Georgetownn tomorrow. hahaha. We will just do a potluck thing for the food. Though it was rushed planning I know will have a grand time.

Name that Tune

While we were waiting for the program to start during the Family Day, I found myself standing near one of the teachers. Actually she is a new teacher and I don't really know her. I am not sure what level she was teaching. But Anevay was playing with her and so I smiled. And then she asked Anevay this 'Anevay, did you tell mommy how good you are during the games in the Literacy Week?'. As usual, the little girl said Yes, even if she did not. hahaha.

Last week was the Literacy Week in school. And then on Thursday, the preschoolers have their games. We were able to watch the first part but we decided to go out already since the school allows the parents and yayas to stay only until 8:30am. And I also was scheduled to buy some multiple vitamins for myself. So I really did not know what has transpired but Anevay came home with lots of candies ( I guess that was what she won). According to the teacher, she was really good in naming the tune. They are actually amazed at her capacity to identify the songs. I am a little bit bewildered by how it goes. Imagine, a three year old naming a tune. I can't seem to picture it. haha. That's why when I told this to the husband he too cannot paint a clearer picture. But hey! if the teachers are amazed then we are proud parents. haha. I just wished I should have stayed longer so that I was able to witness it. Sigh!

The Cheer

Before I searched the web for body acne treatments, let me tell you about our cheer that won us second place.

One of the highlights of our Family Day is the cheer of each time. We have four teams : Green ( to which I belong ), Yellow, Purple and Orange. For our cheer we just used HoeDown Throwdown from hannah Montana and change it’s lyrics to fit our cheer.

My tasked was to make sure that all our parents know the song. So what i did was I burned an audio cd that has the song with vocals and the instrumental version. Fortunately, I found the instrumental version through youtube and downloaded it as mp3 and burn as an audio file. Then I printed the lyrics and distributed it to all the parents. That made us familiar with the cheer even if we don’t meet up. So during the practice everyone can already sing it.

She indeed is all grown up. Now here's the cheer. I asked one of my mommy friend to take a video of Anevay anywhere she goes. haha.

During the Family Day

Since I am already confident that all my mommy friends from school would be coming over to the Family Day, I am a happy camper (yeah and I am happy that I was able to find best acne pills for a friend too)! haha. And also I already developed a certain type of bond with some mommy from our team that's why I know I would be enjoying the day.

Instead of hitching a ride from a fellow member of our team, I decided to join my mommy friends since Anevay is friends with their daughters. In fact, she tells me that one of them is her bestfriend. On the way to the venue they were all playing. And when we arrived they run. The little girl had a blast because she rarely plays outdoors.

That's my little girl in her almost pissed off look. hahah. She was irritated because we insist on putting her hat.

Before the Family Day

It's been a long time since I have updated this blog. Things just gotten so busy that I can hardly write a decent entry. The week after I wrote my thoughts if we are going to attend the Family Day has turned out to be a week dedicated to its preparation.

I have attended the meeting which was set by the the parent rep, of our team, the Green Team. And I ended up volunteering my services for print outs and copying the cheer into the CD and then later distributing it to the parents who are part of the team. It was a huge task but I am happy to do it. But I think I need some wrinkle remover because I have spend some late nights because of it.

Then I also asked my brother to design something for our green shirt. This one was rushed too since they gave me the shirt Wednesday morning and our Family day is on the Saturday. Good thing we only have 22 shirts to have the prints on. And my brother was able to give them to me Thursday night. But I have to iron four shirts to transfer the print. To go or not to go?

I am currently exchanging messages with my fellow pre school moms. Subject : Family Day. On Feb 13, the school has scheduled a Family day at Town and Country Estates in Antipolo. I wanted to go but thinking how hot it is and how the sun can harm my body and put in a week long flare is making me think twice. Also, we don't have a vehicle. I plan to hire a van but with just the two of us coming, it's such a sad affair.

I am still thinking about it. Because I can't help but feel guilty thinking that this is Anevay's 1st family day and we won't be present. In the past, the husband and I are always there for her cousin so now that its her time I think it would be wise that we go. Oh well, so hard to decide.

Eagerly Anticipating

It's already mid February next week and a few days more it would be March, school will be out and summer would be in. Yahoo! Though we still don't have definite plans for summer, I am still excited for it because I am quite excited for our travel plans. The husband is on his way of processing our documents. If all things fall into place, we would spending three months together but not in some Maui rentals but rather in the country where he works. Though the little girl and I would definitely make some adjustment living in a foreign land. But I am not scared because the husband is there.

And if the travel plan won't materialized then I would enrolling the little girl in swimming lesson near our place plus ballet also! haha. I would also enroll myself in swimming and driving. If we won't be spending for airfare definitely we would be buying a car. That's my motivation from buying stuff but really I am itching to buy one more bag from Faye. The large tote bag that I bought from her is now being used by my sister on a weekly basis. Seems that she now claim ownership to it. Oh well. Hopefully I can buy another one after March, when my budget is cleared.

Kids are Kids!

Today is the class picture taking of the little girl. I thought she was going to missed it but her teacher called our house and ask me if I can bring Anevay to school and just leave after the picture taking. I agreed since I regret her missing her first class picture. And so we went. And I witness just how hard it is to asked three years old to stay still for a while. Imagine, when one is ready and well behave another one would leave his/her place. And then when every one is already saying cheese, one would try to jump out of the stand while holding the other. And so the domino effect takes place. I cannot help but laugh just observing the kids. haha.

And the little girl, as usual have thrown her tantrums. It's quite understandable since she really is not feeling well. I am just happy that we were able to have her picture taken with her classmate. That is, if they have a decent pictures. haha.

Frustrations

I know a lot of mothers would agree would me when I say that it really is frustrating to received a months worth of salary and have it disappeared after a few minutes because you have to pay a lot of bills, loans and insurance, right? This always happens to me. And so I am now finding ways on how to earn some more and contribute to the husband's income. We are looking into establishing a stable business which can equate if not surpass the husband's salary. But as of the moment we are still clueless in where and what to venture in. So for now, I am more focused on investments. Actually I have been contemplating for a long time now to buy gold bullion. Gold has been one of the good investments known to man and I am currently trying to learn more about it.
