Let's Go to NY!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Monday, November 30, 2009 0 comments
I am writing this post right now with Anevay on my lap. She is coughing nonstop and I am a bit worried now. So, I decided that we go to UST this afternoon. I already packed my bags just in case we would be admitted. Hopefully not, because I am already taking much of my older brother’s time. He has been with me since Saturday and they have sleep over our house for two consecutive nights also. But I know he does not mind helping me out. I just hope this will be over soon. And if ever, could someone give me a treat by booking me through citysightsny.com so that I would be able to do some New York Sightseeing.

It’s always been my dream to tour New York. And if someone would give me this as a gift that would be awesome. Especially now that citysightsny.com is dishing out those nice offers. They have discounted rates for some areas. I can finally escape the stress that I have been going through these past few days. I also wanted to read the double Decker. I wanted to experience being able to ride a bus on a higher place. And that can be provided by citysightsny.com.

Tired. Angry. Nervous. Disappointed.

I thought it was over. But the little girl's temperature went up again this afternoon. I am tired because I have not rested properly. It's been three days now of being in stressed. To top all that I am battling some issues. And I thought I was dealing with a honest person. Unfortunately, I found out that I am being feed with lies again. Yes, lies. Imagine, yesterday it came to my knowledge that what I was told a few months ago was nothing but a fragment of so called white lies. Why the lies? Well, to get sympathy of sort. And then I have some unexpected guest yesterday who started working in my garden, the garden that I painstakingly cleaned, now it was planted with different sorts of plants which I was not even asked if I wanted them. Imagine that. Should I complain? Well, if we talked about respect, i think I should right?

Sacrifices

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
My older sister was able to finish her college degree via a scholarship. The same goes to me. But college is not only about tuition fee. You still have some extra activities that requires money and of course not to forget the allowance. In the case of my sister, since we are still based on the province at that time she still has to pay monthly rent to her dormitory. And you know who shoulder all this extra stuff -- my older brother. He decided to work and stopped from school to finance the schooling of my sister. So now both my sister and I have college degree while my brother does not. But despite of that he still has work because he is a good freelance graphic artist. Fortunately, now he is trying to consider enrolling himself to short courses. I told him he should get his degree online by looking into the available courses at Capella University. Right now he is still looking into which course he wants. I hope one day soon he too can have a diploma of his own!

Sick Again!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
I feel panicky, nervous and harassed. I am not yet done with the preparation for tomorrow's affair and then Anevay started nursing a fever this afternoon. This got me thinking why the repeat of the fever? It's only a week when she had a temperature. And its making me crazy with worry. There was a time during the night that when I took her temperature it read 39.4. Yeah, that got me all panicky. Thank God it went down to 38.7 after a few minutes. haha. I know I am paranoid. I always take her temperature every 30 minutes. And yes, I dropped everything except blogging (since I have deadlines to beat) to make sure she is okay. I hope we will have a smooth night despite the colds and cough.

First Batch...DONE!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
This week we have two trips to the mall. First was to buy additional Christmas decor (which unfortunately until today I have not put up yet) and second to buy some gifts and dinnerware. Now I can say that my first batch of gifts are done already. First batch includes the kids of college friends who are coming over the house tomorrow. Yeah, we will have a little gathering at our house. I am just praying that God will them the way and they won't get lost. haha. I am excited really though I am quite sad that my bestfriend is not coming. Hopefully this won't be the last get together. I am hoping that summer next year we can planned something out of town.

Their Career

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
Since I go to the saloon and spa for my massage and foot services every other week, I already got an assigned therapist and manicurist. And every time we end up chatting about their job. The therapist was telling me that she does not like how their spa is being managed. But today, I got the chance to talk to her she said that she was staying. Maybe her problem with the management was fixed. While my manicurist wanted to change career. She wanted to try hair styling because according to her a lot of hair stylist jobs are paying well than what she is receiving right now. I told her if she finishes her course on hair styling she might be interested in searching through the beautyjobs.com website because it would connect her to spa and saloon owners. Who knows she might be able to find a good job there!

For MOMs with PreSchoolers

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
I found a nice website which contains printable worksheets which you can used as a reviewer for your preschoolers. We all know that early schooling is more on illustration so it's a bit hard to draw just to review your toddler. Well, actually that was my dilemma last week. So to make my life easier I decided to search for worksheets and alas I found kidzone.ws. They have lots of stuff which you can print and enjoy with your kids! I think this have help Anevay especially when it comes to the same and different category. haha.

Last Week

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
Actually it was Thursday morning of last week when I noticed that the little girl is a bit hot. I took her temperature and I was right. She has a fever. So I decided not to let her go to school. And then lunch time she throw up. Which made me a little bit worried. But as the day progress she got better and her temp went back to normal. The next day, Friday, she told me she wanted to go to school. I was a bit hesitant but since she no longer has a fever I allowed her. But come meal time she threw up again. I decided to have her check with the pedia nearby.

The findings? Diarrhea manifested through vomiting. I am just thankful that her body fights off the bacteria so her case was not that worst. That was according to the doctor. She gave us some prescription which includes a good bacteria in a vial. I let the little girl drink it for two consecutive days for fear that she might get worst.

Thank God by Saturday she is fine already. This is one of the thing that I do not like. The fear that you have to encounter when you have a sick child. But knowing that God is always there I am quite confident and can remain strong.

Get together with Friends

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
Today, I went shopping for gifts. I was debating with myself if I should give my college friends gift or just their kids. Actually we all agreed that the gifts will just be limited to the kids while for us adults we will just have a Kris Kringle of sort so that we won't be left empty handed and envying our kids. lol. Anyway in the end because of money issues and lack of idea on what gift best suits them. I was hoping I could give my male friends those Oakley Gas Can Sunglasses that I saw at zephyrsunglasses.com. I am not that rich! haha. Even if the ones in the website are way cheaper as compared to other stores, still I cannot afford to give all three of them that brand. haha. I am just happy that I was able to buy all kids their gift.

Assessment Week

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 27, 2009 0 comments
This week is Anevay's assessment week. At first I thought they won't be having classes again just like before but I was wrong. hehe. The first time was called a baseline assessment and the kids would only come on their scheduled date. At that time the teachers told us not to review. But this time it's different. They have a list of things to review like the recognizing the letters and numbers from zero to five. And even tracing their names. Good thing the little girl knows all these so I have just really to polished what she knew.

We reviewed over the weekend and there are some funny moments as always. Like she insist that the small letter H is N. I am telling you no amount of persuasion and explanation can make her change her opinion. lol. But over time I know I can convince her to take my side. bwahaha.

Lesson Learned

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 25, 2009 0 comments
I have been writing about our plans on going on an island getaway this coming New Year. It's the best time for our family to unwind and bond what with the husband coming home for a vacation. I want to escape the busy life in the city for a while and want to embrace nature even just for a few days. That's why I choose a resort that is somehow detached from everything else. I was so happy I was able to find one and their rates are really affordable. I have booked our flight and accommodation already when I remember to check for feedback about the resort. The feedback made my heart sink. Seems like the rates were cheap because the place is not that good. So, now I have to find for other place to stay and forget about the reservation that I have deposited. Urgh!

Don’t be like me. Make sure to check feedback first before paying. Example if you are going to NYC, you have to research which gives out the best tour in town. I think for that you can count on having a grand time cruising the city via Coach Buses NYC of nycbuscharters.com. They offer tours for groups and their dispatch is available 24/7. Their buses and double deckers seem impressive through the pictures that I saw in their website. Now I am wishing that instead of the island getaway we can go to NYC and fulfil my childhood dream of riding on the top of a double decker. That would definitely a treat!

Thankful!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 18, 2009 1 comments
I have not continued my cleaning. I have to stay in front of the computer for hours. We have not yet done the Kumon worksheet for the day. I skipped my afternoon nap. Have not yet eaten my lunch. But despite of all this, I am THANKFUL.

Thankful for all the blessings that I have received this morning. True, I have to write around 40+ article today but that also equates some funds in my account. This also means I have additional funds for my Christmas shopping. Hurray!

Fortunately, now I am a bit wiser when it comes to shopping. I have scheduled my shopping and come up with my list of 'to buy' so that I won't overspend. I am just itching to hit the malls next week. hahah.

Excited!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 18, 2009 0 comments
Every time I talked to the husband, I can feel the excitement especially when we spoke about our plans for next year. I am lucky that he is quite supportive with every plans that I come up even if they sometimes sound a little bit crazy. lol.

Right now we cannot help but discussed about the upcoming holiday. He will be home on the eve of Christmas. Yes, we are on the road on the night of the 24th. I am excited because 1.) Christmas bonus = one month salary = more savings 2.) my necklace and the little girl's necklace plus toysssssssssss (hahahaha!) 3.) our Palawan vacation!. I have yet to shop for Christmas gifts and that excites me too!

As for next year, I am looking forward to research and establish a business and learn to drive a car plus save to buy a brand new car in cash ( if that happens auto accessories here I come).

I know I am shooting for the stars next year. But I am motivated. I am also praying that I won't get sick. I kept on praying to God to help me with my plans and my health. With HIM, I know I can do all things!

Sale Alert!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 18, 2009 0 comments
Okay, you may have known about the annual Richwell Sale in LIBIS (just as you heard about Stimerex ES ) because I think every blog have published that already but have you heard of the ToonTown sale?

A fellow mom texted me this morning and she told me that she happen to passed by Eastwood last weekend and have chance upon the sale. The store is having 70% off sale on toys and according to her the stocks are much nicer than the ones being sold at the Richwell Sale. She was able to buy Dora toys. And according to her they are accepting credit cards. ToonTown is located inside Eastwood right beside 7-Eleven. Operating hours is from 10am to 10pm.

And then there is also the GingerSnap sale. She was asking me when we are going. You see, I have bonded with some moms in the pre school of anevay. haha. So we wanted to go to this sale and they are just waiting for me to confirm. It's a nice feeling that along the way I find some people who become friends along the way.

Little Boy Blue

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 18, 2009 0 comments
Really, sometimes I can't believe it! My baby really is turning into a little girl. She is growing up! haha. I am simply amazed at her development. She is quite a talker now. Knowing what she likes and when she likes it. She can voice out what she feels. She also reasons out. You would hear her say YES followed by a BUT. lol.

She can now recites the ANGEL OF GOD prayer. And one time when I was playing with her she was asking me to tell her a story. I said NO, I don't like. There are times that I just wanted to annoy her. haha. And this was one of them. Instead of being irritated she said, Ok, mommy! I just tell a story about Little boy blue. and she recited the rhyme in full. Imagine my surprised. This are the lines of the rhyme :
Little Boy Blue,

Come blow your horn,
The sheep's in the meadow,
The cow's in the corn;
But where is the boy
Who looks after the sheep?
He's under a haycock,
Fast asleep.
I was like wow! Is that my three year old. And I was telling my husband how playful anevay's mind is and how her memory stores on data. Last monday she was playing a mind game. And she is able to match the squares by herself.

Then her Kumon teacher told me about the story of her counting. They were counting to 20. She counts, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fiveteen. hahaha. Tama naman d ba? The mind of a child. lol.

Those that SPARKLE

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 18, 2009 0 comments
Last week the husband told me that he has already bought me a gift for Christmas. Actually I gave him a list of things that I like and then he'll just picked out which one he can buy. You see my husband's time for shopping is very limited since he is busy with his work so I am contend with anything that he gave me. But I was surprised that he was able to find one of the things that I like most. And I was telling him that I might end up building a jewelry shop if he keeps on with his habit of buying me jewelries every time he goes home for a vacation.

I love all the stuff the husband buy me and knowing that all of this are made up from pure gold, I know we have good investment. Gold has been proven by time as a good investment. You can see through the monex.com website that gold coins can be collected and traded. You can make money out of the gold coins you have. All you need to do is learn the ropes. And you can do that by visiting the monex.com website.

Slowly

thoughts of MiLeT @ Tuesday, November 17, 2009 1 comments
Little by little I am accomplishing my goals when it comes to house cleaning. Today, I have just finished cleaning up the room in the garage which serves as our storage room. And then I already got the Christmas Tree out plus the Santa Claus and other decors. I also let the little girl play with the reindeer that sings Jingle Bells. She is just so happy to play with it. Here are some random pics :

And this one made my day!
She was cleaning up after she spilled some water because she was playing with it. lol.

1st PTC in Kumon

thoughts of MiLeT @ Tuesday, November 17, 2009 0 comments
I attended my first PTC in Kumon last Saturday. I was hoping I could do some shopping around the mall first before the meeting since I was looking for some Ferrari parts for the Ferrari toy of Luis. I think they don't sell spare parts when it comes to toys. The spare is only sold to real cars. lol.

Anyway back to the PTC. A week before I have noticed that the little girl can now identify the dots with just one look. I am so proud of her development. If you are a Kumon parent you will understand what I am saying about the dots. The dots are so boring so you can imagine how would a three year appreciate that! But Anevay was able to!

And when I spoke to her teacher, I was truly amazed by her development. She was singing praises to the little girl. She is indeed growing up!

Changes.

thoughts of MiLeT @ Sunday, November 15, 2009 0 comments
She is indeed a pre-schooler. Sometimes her homework drives me crazy. haha. But the school don’t put much pressure on them because they only have assignments during weekends. Thank God! lol.

Anevay is turning into a little girl now. She sometimes correct me when I call her baby. She would immediate say, “mommy I am not a baby, I’m a little girl!’’. She eats three full meals everyday and sometimes don’t eat in between snacks. Maybe because she is still full from the meal I have given her. She knows how to prepare her table when it’s eating time and study time. I really am amazed by who she knows our routine already and the improvement she has when it comes to her behavior and skills. In terms of her pre school studies, she always has stamp when she comes home. Before in her stamp record you can see days when there are no stamps and only comments from the teacher about running around the class and not participating in class. But now, I am so proud of her. Seems like she is well behaved already and focused. When it comes to writing, we are tracing numbers and letters. My goal is that by December she can right on her own without the broken lines.

All in all, I am so happy with the changes that are unfolding right before my very eyes. It also shows that the effort that I am putting in making sure that she is growing up well.

When in Business

thoughts of MiLeT @ Sunday, November 15, 2009 0 comments
At the start of the year, a lot of companies have closed down. All over the world the effect of the economic slowdown/financial crisis was felt. Actually even at this time we can still feel it. A lot of economist have been advising people that this year is not the right time to open up a business. And also to put some caution when investing money. I am not sure if this advise still applies next year since we are planning to start our own business. I just hope the crisis would be over soon and we can really put up something stable. The husband and I are excited on the prospect of going into business. I was telling him that I still need to do some study and consult some people to make sure we are doing the right thing. If we were a big company I would definitely hire Kondlercpa.com, a Las Vegas cpa firm, who have good reputation in the financial sector. They make sure they give their best service to their clients and have handled different organization already.

On my MIND

thoughts of MiLeT @ Monday, November 09, 2009 0 comments
There are a lot of things in my mind right now. Works to be accomplished in just a short time. For one, I have to do some general cleaning around the house before I put up the Christmas decoration. I am planning of putting in some Christmas themed curtains as wells as the ref and the tv rack cover. I also wanted to add some more decors in the house.

Along with that I am planning on the menu for the get together with some college friends in our house. Except for Anevay's birthday which just includes ordering cakes, buying ice cream and delivery from Jollibee, this is the first I am hosting a bigger celebration. So I still need to buy some stuff. Actually the husband is also telling me to buy additional chairs. I am bit pressured. You know. hehe.

But I know everything can be accomplished one step at a time. Careful and systematic planning plus a lot of patience will get me through.

A special GIFT

thoughts of MiLeT @ Monday, November 09, 2009 0 comments
Seems to me that my Christmas list is getting longer and longer. haha. But I don't mind since the idea of shopping for gifts and wrapping them excites me. Anyway, if you are wondering what to give your loved one well I suggest you go look for something that is useful. Something that would help them on their day to day work. Example, you can get them Holiday Fun Eyeglasses like the one below.
Actually, I am considering buying one because of some problem that I am currently encountering now. It's nice to know that there are New Arrivals for their $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses. This gives their customer a wide range to select from.

New Week

thoughts of MiLeT @ Monday, November 09, 2009 0 comments
It's the start of another week. I was so stressed out last week because I have to beat the deadline of so many online task. I have to really give blogging a time or else I will end up rushing. Well, it's also my fault. I decided to take a break from all offline and online work and just sit in front of the computer and watch online drama. hahaha. Actually I am still watching one right now but I am already down to three episodes. After this, I'll have to go back again and do some house chores.

For this week, I wish to accomplish cleaning and clearing Anevay's toys. I also have to do some measurements for the curtains. I am still thinking if I will go and just buy ready made curtains from SM with holiday design (which cost Php 200) or buy the fabric and have someone sew it for me. According to my sister, the set that was made for them cost Php 700 (labor only) and I already called a nearby shop and they will charge me Php 150 for the labor. Now I am thinking I should have enroll myself in dress making courses. hahaha.

Oh, I also need to write down the stuff I am going to buy in preparation of the get together with college friends. I need to check on my dishes and all because it will be held in our house. I am excited! hehe.

Pending Gadgets for Repair

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 06, 2009 0 comments
Yap. I have two gadgets that needed repair. One is already with the vendor and the other I have yet to send to the repair center. What are these gadgets? My laptop and camera. Good thing, I have two digital cameras. I have a spare while the other one is being repaired. According to the repair vendor the part needed for the repair of the camera will take one month to order. Oh well, I can't do anything about that.

While the laptop, I think the problem is the battery and the keyboard. I might asked the vendor to reformat it also since all my important files are already on my desktop. Don't you love it that you have a spare? I do! It removes the stress of waiting for the gadgets to be repaired.

I know I am blessed.

Get Together

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 06, 2009 0 comments
Some friends from college are cooking up a get together party this December. We are communicating via Facebook and they are teasing me that the venue should be our house or somewhere near our house so that I will surely attend. haha.

I am pretty excited on the get together. It's been years since I last saw them. Actually we last got together when I was pregnant with Anevay. That was in 2005. Wow, four years. And now everybody has kids.

The date is not yet set. But the venue, OUR HOUSE! hahaha.

As a MOM

thoughts of MiLeT @ Friday, November 06, 2009 0 comments
As a mom, you are not entitled to a vacation leave nor a sick leave. Unlike when you are single, when you don't feel like working you can just call in sick. But being a mom it becomes a different ball game. Just like today. I wanted to rest. Unfortunately I can't because if I will, my work will pile up. Not to mention that I have a three year old who kept on calling mommy, mommy! huhu!

But despite the stress, I am still thankful. Because every day I learned something new and wonderful. Which makes me appreciate my life even more. I remember the time when I was still struggling in my role as a wife and mom. Everyday, I always end up miserable. haha. And that includes the time when we moved from one apartment to another. The move was stressful on my part because those who have offer to help me transfer has different idea on their mind. They don't do what I say but they do what they wanted to. I was thinking then that its much better to hire movers than relay on 'relatives'. Especially if the movers comes from humboldt.com, a Boston Moving company. If I hire them, they would make the transfer hassle free because they will be the one to do the 'dirty works'.

Unfortunately, I have not hired the movers. But I told the husband that I won't move out of the apartment again until I am sure that the next property we are transferring would be under our name. Thank god that happens.

2010 Calenday

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
I am waiting for my 2010 calendar to arrived. Actually I designed two calendars. One calendar has pictures of our annual family reunion last 2008, which if turn out nicely, I would be giving as a gift to my aunts and uncles in the side of my father. And the other one is a calendar of the little girl. I am just hoping both will arrived soon.

Want to see some pages of the calendar? Well, here are five pages.I got the templates from scrapblog.com. Actually the site is really nice. It already has preset templates, all you have to do is choose which one you like. Then I did some resizing in Photoshop, upload them to artscow.com and viola used them for my calendar.

I'll update you once I received my order.

Things to BUY

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
I am counting the days till the 15th. You see last month I overspend and that got me into trouble. I have a huge credit card bills. And I say bills not bill. hehe. So to punished myself, I declared November as my no shopping month. Well, not the whole November. I am just waiting for my cutoff. lol. While waiting, I am on a thrift mode and I only bring cash when I go to the grocery and the market. I have yet to go to the mall. Actually I am so tempted to go now but I know it won't do me any good.

There are a lot of things on my to buy list and that includes :

- area rugs
- Christmas lights
- Christmas decors
- Santa
- shirts for the family
- order some more calendar (if I like the calendar that would be delivered to me)
- and of course, GIFTS!

I am just happy that until this moment I am sticking to my decision not to used my credit cards yet. Yahoo! But come mid November and December, I know those cards would come in handy. haha.

No Longer a BABY!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
One time while I was calling Anevay, we have this conversation :

ME : Baby, come here!
Anevay : Mommy, I am not a baby! I am a little girl!

Aww, my heart is breaking. hahaha. Indeed my baby is growing up. And she is growing up so fast. She no longer drinks milk from her feeding bottles. Actually, she said goodbye to the bottles way back May or June of this year. And then just last month we started saying goodbye to her diapers little by little. Feeding bottles and diaper -- two signs of a baby in the house both are no longer in sight. Hay!

Now, we have fairies, princesses and dolls. All of which have a name given by her. She also religiously does her schoolwork and worksheet from Kumon. She knows when its playtime and when its study time. I love how discipline she turns out.

As she grows old, she also started to show signs how he missed his daddy's presence. Something that pains me. Everyday she would asked me to call his daddy because she misses him. She always say this line 'Mommy, I miss daddy. Let's call daddy!'. Hopefully by next year I would be in good condition and will be able to spend three months in Kuwait. And I would be healthy enough to conceived another baby. harharhar!

Plan for Next Year

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
I don't really know if I have blogged about it here but last week an inspiration dawn upon me. Actually I have been feeling sluggish lately. I wanted to help the husband generates some more income so that we can extend some more help to people in need and I feel a little bit helpless just being here at home and doing nothing.

Oh well, as the husband would say, I am doing a lot. And what I am accomplishing is a big deal already but being a career woman in the past, I know I can still do more. And I am not surprised when last week I came up with an idea that I wanted to rent the commercial space that is being built in front of our house and turn it to a computer shop. When I got that vision, ideas started flooding in.

I shared those ideas to my husband and he is equally excited about it. Actually he has been pushing me to go into business ever since he went abroad. Now we are planning to scout around for things we need. He, is assigned to look for the machines. Computers, printers, copiers. While I on the other hand would be looking into merchant services, business registration and talking to the owner of the commercial space.

I am so excited with this idea. I know it won't be easy but it's better than doing nothing that is professionally challenging. While talking to the husband I told him one condition that I won't be doing. And he asked me what. I told him I won't get my hands dirty by troubleshooting. hahaha. But knowing myself I know if anything is broken, I can't turn a blind eye on it. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that we can do this!

Energized

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
I should be taking a nap at this time but my work is piling up so I need to sacrifice a little in order to accomplished everything. I am taking advantage that the little one is sound asleep. When she's awake, she can be really demanding. She always wanted me to be at her side to play with her or study with her. I don't really mind. But there are times when I felt guilty doing some task in front of the computer when she wanted me to play with her.

That's why now, I am blogging here while she is sleeping. So that when she wakes up I would turn off my computer and give her my full attention. We are also scheduled today for her Kumon session. While she is in Kumon, I plan to have my nails done. hehe.

Christmas gifts

thoughts of MiLeT @ Wednesday, November 04, 2009 0 comments
Last week I already started making my list of people who I am going to give Christmas gifts to. In fact, I started scouting already on a nearby mall. I was surprised to see that I have a long list already and it only includes those we interact in school and Kumon. Plus those who collect our monthly dues.

For Anevay's classmates, I already decided to buy them pop up books from BOOKSALE. I saw books there that were being sold at Php 60. Since the owner is familiar with me, I might be able to lower the price. Fingers crossed. I plan to put in also a personalized bag tag for each kid.

As for the teachers and school bus staff, I might give them perfume that are just stocked up in our closet. I already have my husband's blessing. But some friends are against the idea since the perfume are expensive. lol.

My biggest challenge when it comes to gifts is what to give my doctors and Anevay's pedia. I was thinking of giving my rheumatologist a Branded usb drive since he is fond of techy stuff. While Anevay's pedia, it's a choice between perfume or cake. And I still have to think about the two secretaries. OhOh!

Now that I am staring at the calendar in front of me, I just realized that I really need to settle everything before December. Because next month would be Anevay's visit to her pedia, then 2nd week it would a fun filled activity in school. Next, it would Christmas already. That fast! Not to mention, that the husband will be home by that time ;)

Things To do

I got a lot of things on my plate right now. And I don't know where to start. I am a bit lazy but not the laziness which I always incorporate with my lupus. I am just plain lazy right now yet I know I have to move because I am running out of time. I wanted to finished all task before December. Next month will be a busy one for me.

What are the things I needed to do :

online :

- need to finished all online task. I am just thankful that everyday I received a lot. This gives me some more funds for shopping. hahaha.
- need to write some more entries in my two blogs. these are new blogs. one hopefully will be rolled out this week and would give me some more funding again. lol.
- focused on improving the stats of my blog before i put it on the market. wink! wink!

offline :
- measure the windows, tv rack and ref. we've decided to just buy christmas fabric and then have our curtain sewn by one of my brother-in-law's aunt.
- buy some more Christmas lights and decors (this has to wait until the 15th. I am waiting for the cutoff of my credit cards. bwahaha!)
- segregate toys so that I can donate some to the Maaga ang Pasko drive of Jollibee.
- do general cleaning

I can't think of anything more. But I know there are still things that I have not wrote down. I am just praying that my LUPUS won't give me a hard time or i'll end up laying in bed again helpless.

Vacation's Over!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Tuesday, November 03, 2009 0 comments
While checking on some motorhome warranty, I realized that tomorrow would be start of school week again. The little girl would be busy with school and I with house chores. I am gearing up for Christmas already. For this week my plan is to organized the toys of the little girl. I would be giving away some of her old toys to Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko campaign.

There are a lot of stuff around the house that I am planning to do. And hopefully my health would cooperate. So that before the husband comes home for Christmas (yehey!) our house is fully decorated. hehe.

1st Outdoor Trick or Treat

thoughts of MiLeT @ Monday, November 02, 2009 3 comments

Last Friday, through the invitation of a fellow pre school mom we went trick or treating on a nearby subdivision. It was really tiring but fun. The little girl wore her Cinderella gown. We were with her classmates and the kids enjoy every minute of it.

Here is Anevay on our gate while waiting for the group to pick us up.

There are a large number of crowd who went with us, knocking on doors asking for treats. We went around the village and finished off by 6pm.

Then yesterday, we head off to Pampanga. Our first stop is in the house of my older sister. After her baptism, it’s only now that we were able to see Keisha again. Anevay had fun playing with her. And kept asking me for a baby! haha.

DSCN0678 Anevay was full of energy. We were wondering when she’s going to sleep. Fortunately on our way home she dozed off. That was after she keeps on shouting with happiness every time she sees the lanterns on the street. You know that Pampanga is known for lanterns right? We were laughing because she labeled the lights as ‘Anevay makulite’. don’t asked me how she came up with that term. because I don’t have an answer.

Today, I tested the Santa which I asked my sister to buy for me. And here it is…

DSCN0685 Bought this for only Php2200. I am still thinking where I would put it. At first my plan is to put on the wall. But I don’t know yet.
