Learning 101

This week I planned to assess Anevay's knowledge regarding the letters of the alphabet. I bought her Barney flash cards a long time ago and we are using them. But I am having a hard time to determine which letters she knows already and which I need to help her.

And since I saw her interest in typing in my keyboard, I got the idea to take advantage of her interest. I let her sit on my lap and I open the MS Office application. And from there I type the letters one by one and ask me to identify the letters. I was surprised to learn that there are just few letters that she needed help identifying. Letters: E, H, J.

After that I let her type the letters and let her play. She was enjoying it and on the other hand she is also learning. Next thing I did was to see if she still remembers the shapes and also explore the colors.

I did this.

Anevay knows all the shapes. But she is having a hard time when it comes to colors.

I was laughing at myself thinking that I am one techy mother. lol. But we both enjoy the learning time.
