Know your site's BOUNCE RATE

thoughts of MiLeT @ Thursday, September 11, 2008
When I started gaining knowledge about BOUNCE RATE, I started researching on how to determine it. I really wanted to prove if EC dropping really causes it to increase. But unfortunately not all site counters track it. Actually all site counters I know never track it.

So through research, I was able to learn that GOOGLE ANALYTICS can track bounce rate. You can access analytics through this link. Sign in using your GOOGLE ACCOUNT. There would be a code that you would have to add in your template. Once the code is successfully installed it would start tracking your stats.

What I like about GOOGLE ANALYTICS is that it tracks almost everything. Visitors, Source, Bounce Rate, New Visit etc. Here is an example on the report. This one is for my other blog which really is attracting a lot of traffic.

Apologies to the not so clear image. I am too lazy to change it. But if you wanted to check the real report then used Analytics on your blog.
