I was wondering how they were able convinced Eli to perform again with Buddy, Marcus and Raimund. Remember, there was a rumour that he refused to perform with the three during the promotion of Ultraelectromagneticjam. Maybe, they have patched things up when he got sick. I am looking forward to the concert but i know I'm too old for it. And I really don't like attending to those concerts especially the free one because I always think that it would become riotous. I experienced that one when we attended the 1st ever Oktoberfest in Eastwood way back 2001. When Parokya ni Edgar was performing a group kept on throwing unopened San Mig cans. Good thing we were with hubby at that time. He was our shield. haha.
And I saw this on YOUTUBE while searching for the video when Vic Sotto read the text message of Francis Magalona confirming he has leukemia and asking for support and prayer.
The video brings back a lot of memories. High school and College. It brings back the memory of a deceased childhood friend who like me loves Eraserheads. In one his note to me before our high school graduation he even used "Saka na lang pala ung ___ , pag nakita na lang ulit tayo. With a Smile xxx". I miss him. Loosing him made me feel like I lost a brother. I've know him since kindergarten. And his death is untimely. I miss him more seeing the video.
On a brighter note, I challenge myself if I can name all the songs that were used on the video. 13 songs were used, one songs I know the lyrics but I forgot the title. Here are the songs : Sembreak, Kailan, Magasin, Overdrive, Butterscotch, Hey Jay, With A smile, Harana, Kaliwete, ----, Trip to Jerusalem, Fruitcake, Huling El Bimbo. Yes, even at 29, I am a big Eraserheads fan.
And by the way have you seen Eli in Kapamilya Deal or No Deal last night ? He is so thin and on my opinion less energetic. Oh well, my superproxy duo are being tested. I do hope THE MAN FROM MANILA WILL GET WELL SOON. Because of technological advancement, leukemia can now be controlled.
