Baby Bump Tag

Vannie started a tag about being pregnant.

Truth is before I became pregnant, I was doubting my capability to give birth. With being plagued with LUPUS add to the fact that I was taking COUMADIN (WARFARIN) to avoid BLOOD CLOTS. My rheumatologists have been warning me about unplanned pregnancy. COUMADIN can cause harm to the unborn. He told me to give birth after six months of not taking coumadin. Which at that time was closed to impossible.

But my desire to have a baby is really strong. Despite the fact that is risky and expensive, I know I wanted to be a mother. And GOD have listened to my plea and grant me and hubby's request.

During the course of pregnancy, I have to go and visit two doctors. One is my OBGYNE (who thank god is familiar with lupus) and my ever reliable RHEUMATOLOGIST. Unlike normal mothers, I am subjected to monthly ultrasound and at the home stretch, the ultrasound became weekly. My RHEUMA have also told me to inject HEPARIN as substitute for the COUMADIN. Heparin cost Php 900 and injected everday. HUBBY and I lean on our FAITH so I decline the use of HEPARIN. Everyday I worry. We are always on the look out for possible signs of FLARE. At the 9th month, days before my due date, my urinalysis results shows that I am on the verge of having PRE ECLAMPSIA that I needed to give birth ASAP via CS. I was so thankful that both my doctors are really observant. Me and Anevay stayed at the hospital for three days. My worries have all been erased.

So now you asked, despite of all the apprehension,

What I love about being pregnant

I love feeling the kicks and movements in my tummy

Saying that I am not alone in my journey

I love the body massage that hubby is giving me everyday

Telling me that he is always there to support me

I love having that bump

Showing the world that GOD has confidence in me to be HIS co creator

I love being pregnant

Because it signifies that despite and inspite of LUPUS

I can still DREAM and reach that DREAM.
