Teaching her colors!

thoughts of MiLeT @ Tuesday, June 10, 2008
For June, I decided to focus on teaching Anevay about colors. And its a hard task. Normally Anevay would only take about half a day or a day to comprehend what I am teaching her. But for colors its a bit difficult. For one you cannot write colors just like you draw a shape. So I am finding ways to make her remember.

One day last week, I decided to bring out her tent. We bought the tent in Toy R us May of last year and it came with a lot of balls in four different colors (BLUE, GREEN, RED and YELLOW). I saw some progress because Anevay now points to the ball and chants BLUE, GREEN, RED and YELLOW. But she never points on to the correct color. lol! I am still happy because she enjoys playing with it.

her playmate includes : Mickey, Barney and Dora

now , you see the balls that I am using in our COLOR EDUCATION

I am not really sure I am going to give up in teaching her colors for now. But I think I will still dedicate June for our COLOR month. And next month I will be tackling the ALPHABETS and look what I was able to buy yesterday in Megamall.

This box contains plastic molds of the ALPHABET. Powder and some stuff for coloring the alphabets. Cute eh ? Good for bonding moments and learning too! I am excited to use it but debating whether I will include Anevay in the molding or not because the she might inhale the powder or worst eat it which the instruction have written not to be done. But I am keen on teaching her the alphabets next month since she have shown too much interest in scribbling. She now knows how to hold a pen properly.

That's what she does everyday. Ask for a paper and pen and scribbles away. She is one busy little girl!

Little Einstein Van Gogh tape and books are good for teaching colors. :) What a cutie! My son has a ball pit,too and he loves it! I would rather him jump in it than in some yucky public one. :)

sis, si Jaden and alam pa lang na color "pink" kasi yun yung kulay ng favorite teddy bear niya..hehehe.

I envy you, sana ako rin can spend time teaching her colors, alphabets and numbers, kaya lang hindi pa pwede....if only I'm a WAHMy :(

As of now I created a DAILY ACTIVITIES for her and her nanny to follow, everyday! Specific activity for a specific time of the day by that I'm able to know kung ano ginagawa nila buong maghapon and if sinusunod ng yaya ang schedule..Gusto ko kasi kahit pano, magkaroon siya ng daily routine with educational activities. :D
